LoadCircle ("we", "our", "us") operates the LoadCircle mobile application and web platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2.1 Personal Information

When you create an account or use our Service, we may collect:

• Identity Information: Full name, username, email address, phone number
• Business Information: Company name, MC/DOT numbers, office address
• Financial Information: Bank name, transit number, institution number, account number, e-transfer email (for invoice remittance purposes only)
• Driver Information: Driver's license number, license expiry date

2.2 Usage Data

• Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise GPS location to display routes, calculate ETAs, and track shipment progress
• Camera & Photos: With your permission, we access your camera and photo library to capture and upload shipping documents (Bill of Lading, Proof of Delivery)
• Push Notification Tokens: Device tokens for sending load assignments, status updates, and delivery notifications

2.3 Documents

Users may upload shipping documents including Load Confirmations, Bills of Lading, Proof of Delivery photos, driver's license copies, vehicle registrations, and insurance documents. These are stored securely and accessible only to authorized users within the same carrier organization.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service (shipment management, invoicing, communication)
• To process and manage shipment documentation (BOL, POD, LC)
• To generate invoices and financial reports
• To send push notifications about load assignments and status updates
• To display route maps and provide ETA calculations
• To enable real-time chat between drivers and dispatch
• To verify driver identity and document compliance
• To process payments via our payment processor (Stripe)

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with:

• Within your organization: Carriers can view their drivers' information. Brokers can view shipment details for loads assigned to them.
• Payment Processor: Stripe processes subscription payments. We do not store your credit card information.
• Email Services: We use email services to send invoices and notifications.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure using MongoDB Atlas with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• JWT-based authentication with secure token handling
• HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
• Database encryption at rest
• Role-based access control (carrier, driver, broker)
• Password hashing using bcrypt

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Shipment records and invoices are retained for a minimum of 7 years for tax and regulatory compliance. You may request deletion of your account by contacting our support team.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Withdraw consent for location tracking or push notifications at any time through your device settings
• Export your data in a machine-readable format

8. Third-Party Services

• Google Maps: Used for route display and address autocomplete. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe: Used for payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Apple Push Notification Service: Used for iOS push notifications.

9. Children's Privacy

LoadCircle is a business application and is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
